When preparing for out of town travel, you don't need to take concerns about your property with you. Boynton Beach Home Watch is here to care for your home in your absence. We provide personalized property inspections to ensure that everything inside and outside of your home remains in good condition and is ready to be enjoyed when you return. By having a Home Watch professional making regular visits to your property, any problems that arise will be detected and resolved quickly. Also, many home owner insurance companies offer a discount to policy holders that have a care taker when their home is unoccupied

We will schedule personalized visits to your property and provide a detailed inspection report following each appointment. Basic service includes, but is not limited to;

• Verifying that all windows and entrances are properly secured and that alarm systems are turned on
• Visual inspection of entire property inside and out, looking for signs of possible trespassing or damage
• Checking your mailbox, removing flyers from your door, collecting newspapers, or any items that would indicate your property is vacant
• Turning on the main water supply, running all faucets, sink disposals, and flushing all toilets to confirm your plumbing is working properly. Turning the main water off before leaving
• Checking the electrical panel to make sure no breakers are tripped
• Checking all walls, windows, and ceilings for evidence of water leaks or signs of mold and mildew
• Making sure that your a/c is cooling and confirm the thermostat and humidistat are set accurately
• Making sure that the refrigerator and freezer are working. We will confirm the ice maker is off and empty to avoid damage in the event of a power outage
• Ensuring that smoke and other home safety detection devices are active
• Inspecting for evidence of insect or rodent infestation
• Confirming that landscaping and lawn maintenance is occurring, and look for signs of damaged sprinklers 
• If you have a pool we will do a visual inspection of all pool equipment
• Starting any vehicles to make sure they are running properly 
• Visual inspection of the roof from ground level as well as visual inspection of screened enclosures and fencing

If anything is out of the ordinary, you will be notified immediately. We will recommend solutions, and can help facilitate any needed repairs or maintenance. 

We can assist in finding and scheduling licensed service providers for any repairs or maintenance that need to happen while you are away. We also offer "waiting service" for repairs or maintenance to be completed. In addition, we can arrange to have your grocery shopping completed before you or guests arrive. We are able to provide "open up" or "close down" service prior to you or guests arriving and departing.

We can be the point person for any service providers that need to access your home. This eliminates having multiple copies of your key in circulation. This service guarantees that your property is treated with care and is properly secured once contractors have completed their work.

If your home is used as a rental property, you can arrange for us to meet and provide keys to the guests or tenants. We will assist in answering any questions they have, and help with any maintenance needs that arise while they are staying in your home. We will also inspect your property for any damage once the guest has departed, and remove any garbage or food that has not been disposed of.

In addition to checking and emptying your mailbox during regular visits, you can schedule us to receive or sign for deliveries. We will forward any mail or packages to your out of town location if requested.
